Our Reviews

We Love Half Moon Lake Resort! This is our paradise! The staff and management are friendly. The washrooms are clean and the campsite is very well cared for. They are constantly working to improve the grounds and make the resort a true resort campsite. There is kayak and pedal boat rentals, park, mini golf, baseball, basketball, nets, horse shoes, bouncy bubble, swimming in the lake, walking trails and so much more! There is so much beauty here.

We stayed at Half Moon Resort for one month in July 2020 and were very impressed. The sites that we stayed at in the B-Loop were very private although others in the resort were less private. When we got to the site our spot was very wet and muddy but maintenance came the next day to bring us some gravel to make it less wet. Due to pandemic restrictions only camping by RVs for weekly, monthly or seasonal use was permitted. As a result the campground was not very crowded and felt quite private. We were impressed with amenities included full hook up sites, mini-golf, beach, basketball court , store (with ice cream and slushies) and Cafe (coffee & fresh baked cinnamon buns). Our only criticism was that the nature trails were not well maintained and therefore not really bike or hikeable. The park management and all staff were very friendly and attentive. We were very happy and enjoyed our stay and we will likely return!

Our Reviews

Actually very nice campground..they accomodated us when there was a booking conflict which was amazing. The pickle ball, basketball and mini putt were very good shape. Would definitely go back. I don't like tho how you can't use generator at all (if you don't have a powered site). Even to he able to use it for a couple hours a day to keep batteries charged would be sufficient. But overall very nice.

So nice to get out of town. We came out during three days of +35°C heat. The lake was nice and well kept. We.booked last minute and managed to get one of the very last sites available which were close to the cabins. Not ideal but they were also a very short walk to the beach. So VERY THANKFUL For the trees sheltering our site. Signage is not the greatest when trying to find your actual campsite, but you are provided a map upon check-in which is useful. One thing that surprised me was how nice the ladies bathroom was. It was the prettiest and most functional bathroom I have ever used at a campsite.
