THE LAKE AND OUR RESORT

Named for its crescent shape, Half Moon Lake is a small but mighty body of freshwater in its own picturesque hamlet. Measuring about 2 kilometers (1.2 mi) in length, 250 metres (820 ft) wide, and a maximum of 8.5 metres (28 ft) deep. Half of the lake is surrounding by a private community of about 230 residents, while the Half Moon Lake RV Resort is situated on 139 acres of forested land at the south end, offering public access to our cozy piece of nature.

THE LAKE AND OUR RESORT

IT ALL BEGAN IN 1926

Originally developed in 1926 as a campground with a handful of sites near the lake’s south end and surrounded by 100 acres of natural forest, Half Moon Lake Resort has grown to include a beach area, decked pavilion building, washroom facilities, pickleball courts, basketball court, beach volley ball, playground, and, of course, mini-golf. In addition to our 216 sites, 170 of which are fully serviced, the resort now includes group camping and day-use areas.

The resort has passed through many hands over the more than 50 years of its existence; but as its newest owners, we’re devoted to making Half Moon Lake Resort the premiere lake destination in the greater Edmonton area.

Open May through October, our resort has more than 200 campsites (with 170 Full Hock Ups), washroom facilities, a developed beach, a playground, a convenience store with groceries, recreational rentals (Paddleboard, Kayak, Canoe), free mini golf, horseshoe pits, walking trails, and other amenities. We also offer WiFi hotspots at our office and store for those who need to stay connected. We also offer group campsite and event areas suitable for large gatherings such as family reunions, weddings, and corporate gatherings.

The new management team is super friendly and accommodating. We found the park clean, peaceful and relaxing, and are happy to be here on an extended stay!
It’s a great place for a quick gateway camping trip. With the Henday next to it, you can access everything in less than 30 minutes.
Went with my hubby and two kids. Under new ownership and the management was great! Bathrooms are new and spotless and the sites were clean, well maintained and well treed. Lots for the kids to do and very beautiful lake.
